SAN DIEGO ATTRACTIONS

San Diego is one area where you will surely get attractions that cater for all ages. The city has the finest weather with a warm climate and long sandy beaches and is also home to the renowned San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. It is a rare mix of sceneries with lots of things to do in San Diego. What with a beach that stretches over seventy miles, followed by high mountain peaks over 6,500 feet and then a sizeable desert area? It is also a base for numerous security installations like the Coast Guard, Marines and the Navy.

There is the picturesque migration of the gargantuan gray whales from the Bering Sea onwards to Baja peninsula which is a free thing to do in San Diego also a must see while you visit San Diego. Talk about the massive Balboa Park, home to numerous museums, theatres and galleries together with gardens hosting lovely walkways surrounded by still ponds. If more than 6,400 eateries do not get your taste buds agitated for the love of lip smacking foods, you will also find hundreds of other small time fast food joints for those who love snacking. For the sporty kind who love golf, count one, two three…Until ninety golf courses and you are lost for choice. For the lover of history and the arts there are multicultural events that make san Diego a place for anyone to desire visiting.

The San Diego Urban area alone boasts of over 50 top of the range attractions for you to choose from at a cost that is affordable. There is the famous B Street Pier, the obvious assembly point for voyages to Catalina. There also cruises originating here to Mexico, Tahiti, Hawaii and yonder.

An entrance to Balboa Park guarantees you an admission to over 13 exclusive attractions including the San Diego Zoo. You will also visit the Aero Space Museum, Japanese Friendship garden and the Botanical Building. A must watch here includes the legendary 200-foot California Tower’s bell that rings every quarter of an hour. Enter the Belmont Park’s merry-go-round and a massive enclosed swimming pool just next to the sea. The historic Big Dipper has become a national shrine at 74 feet, though it’s such a site to behold.

The other famous attraction is the Gaslamp Quarter hosting the ancient Victorian buildings dating as far back as 1800. This historic part of the town has outlived initial plans to destroy it in the 1970s, thanks to lovers of history, thespians and architects. It is today a favorite shopping center for any visitor coming over to this great city. Do not leave out La Jolla where you will find a children’s pool and for the adventurers they can try kayaking between the La Jolla sea caves. There is also Marine Park here for sighting of rare sea creatures some of which include sea lions, cormorants, dolphins, seals, pelicans and even sea leopards.

San Diego Zoo is an enormous world class zoo hosting unique varieties replicating their natural habitat as much as possible. It has survived since its founding in 1916 and now is home to over 4,000 animals accounting fro over 800 species. There is no better way of taking it all in besides playing host to the Skyfari aerial team. They give 40 minute guided bus tours and helps visitors maximize their tour.
